RetirePlanCalc.com is built on a simple principle: your financial data belongs to you and stays on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal or financial information — ever.

Data Collection

We collect zero personal financial data. Specifically:

• No user accounts or registration
• No email addresses are collected (unless you voluntarily send yourself an email report)
• No financial data is transmitted to our servers
• No cookies are used for tracking or advertising
• No third-party analytics that collect personal data

How Your Data Is Stored

All data you enter into our calculators is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This means:

• Data never leaves your device
• Data is not sent to any server — ours or anyone else's
• Clearing your browser data removes all stored scenarios
• You can manually clear saved scenarios using the "Clear All Data" button in the Saved Scenarios tab

Email Reports

When you use the "Email This Report" feature, the report content is assembled entirely in your browser and sent using your device's native email client via the mailto: protocol. The email content is not processed by or sent through our servers.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party resources that may load in your browser:

• Chart.js (cdn.jsdelivr.net) — Used to render charts. Loaded only when you visit a tab that displays charts. No personal data is sent to this service.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking or advertising services.

Sharing Features

Social sharing buttons (Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, LinkedIn) use standard share URLs that open in new windows. These services may set their own cookies and track visits according to their own privacy policies. We do not send any personal data through these sharing links.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
